Happy Christmas Everyone and Thank You
Happy Christmas Everyone and a BIG Thank You to all those who have helped with the contributions to the “Camapaign Fund” :-)
Spain is not called “surreal” for nothing; I often refer to “another day in Surreal Spain” and so it is. When you are born here you grow up with the daily changes and accept them as part of life. Live here as a foreigner for long enough and you become accustomed to misinformation.
You may be reliably informed of one thing on one day, act on the information only to be told that the information you received was totally wrong and could not possibly have ever been true! It makes planning anything to do with authority a hit and miss affair which can be amusing on end of the scale and deeply frustrating at the other.
However, the machinery of justice grinds slowly on and as the finger of homelessness beckons all that remains is to look forward to another chapter in the journey of life.
Happy Christmas Everyone.

30 Days to Homelessness – The Week Ahead
The week ahead promises to be eventful. With many letters to get out to the various people concerned I have no time to lose. I have had some offer of help for which I am grateful because talking with some of the Spanish authorities can be time consuming and frustrating too.
So with that in mind I shall bury myself in wrting and research in order to get things in the post early tomorrow morning and hope for a reply from solicitors, DeCotta McKenna and Santafé. Then some more packing. My home is starting to look rather sad now with packing boxes littering the floor and conveniently placed to trip me up!

32 Days to Homelessness – Not Hopelessness
I have been researching the juristiction of the English Courts. I have been informed by A.H., solicitor, of Wooley & Co that “The English courts do not have jurisdiction over Spanish property.” I have read this in other places apart from Wooley & Co’s website too during my research but have yet to find a law that I can quote or a definative answer as to why I am about to become homeless.
A.H. also said in her letter, “Whether however there is any such procedure that can be commenced in Spain to obtain recognition of an English court order I am afraid is a question that only a Spanish lawyer can answer. The opposite can be commenced in England and so this may be the situation.” Indeed that does appear to be the case. Do you think A.H is destined to become a polititian?
But the fact remains I was only made aware of the situation by chance and have never even been served with a notice!
So how does anyone make any sense of this?
Either the juristiction of the English Courts does or does not have juristiction over Spanish property…let’s not be wooly about this. There is hope I and you will get an answer to this!

35 Days to Homelessness
Tuesday morning brought some fresh light to the matter in hand.
While going through the some of the more important papers I found a legal irregularity that cannot be ignored.
The urgent need to check this out and ask the relevant questions will take the rest of the day.
So watch this space concerning this new development.
Meanwhile its back off to Torrox Court to look for any new postings. This is the only way I am notified of any changes or recent developments.
Can you believe it? The picture shows the Torrox Court notice board where public notices are posted. Miss it and you could be hung, drawn and quartered before you know you even committed an offence!

36 Days to Homelessness
What a strange day today. Sadly there was nothing from the Torrox Court in the Post Office Box nor any response to my recent e-mail from Snr. Gomez Llorente of DeCotta, McKenna & Santafé in Nerja.
However, there was good news that another person suffering from injustice in Europe did at least, eventually, win her case against her Estate Agent employer. It is shame on her, that she, the English Estate Agent did not bother to show her face in court after illegally employing and then dismissing a young pregnant woman.
Meanwhile, I have had a rather disturbing letter from a potential buyer of my property. In fact he sent me a copy of an e-mail from DeCotta, McKenna & Santafé. It seems that another buyer is being put off from buying this property.
I also have a mysterious would-be buyer who reckons he has money to spend but has yet to give me any contact details except his e-mail of course, despite me asking him 3 times. What a laugh some people are!
